Why we’re building Spaife
We no longer live in a world where income means just a W-2. People earn in countless ways now — a job plus a brokerage account, crypto, a side gig, a sportsbook, a prediction market — and each type of income comes with its own tax rules. That complexity trips people up. They overpay because they didn’t know a rule, or get a surprise bill in April because something wasn’t tracked — especially with things like gambling, where the tax code catches people off guard.
I built Spaife because I wanted to make that understandable. Most people aren’t trying to game anything — they just want to know where they stand, keep what they’re entitled to, and not make mistakes that cost them money they didn’t need to lose.
So we’re building the thing I wished existed: one running estimate across everything you earn, kept current all year — so you can plan ahead, claim what you’re owed, and never be blindsided in April.
